Printmaking Camp 2026
July 14th-18th from 11AM to 4PM everyday.
1102 Tacoma Ave. S., Suite 208.
Ages 15-19. Any skill level. FREE to join & free lunch.
Learn linoleum block carving and how to make prints with native plants with local artist and printmaker Yoshi Nakagawa.
Participate in FLOCK- a collaborative community art project with visiting artist Rachel Simmons, who will teach us how to make relief prints of birds and share them with the public through a free public program on Saturday and an art instillation. Use Write253's extensive collection of wood and metal type to make unique letterpress printed projects!
We are so excited to spend the week exploring different types of printmaking to make unique, hand made art together. We can't wait to see you there!
Deadline to apply is Tuesday, July 7th , and you will be notified of acceptance on July 8th.
There are 10 spots available, no prior experience needed.

Creative Writing Camp 2026
July 21st-25th from 11AM to 4PM everyday.
1102 Tacoma Ave. S., Suite 208.
Ages 15-19. Any skill level. FREE to join & free lunch.
Join us to take workshops in poetry, fiction, screenplay writing, and journalism from various local writers and artists. We will look at work by other writers and talk about our own work, what moves us to write and learn more skills to express yourself creatively. We will have the opportunity to explore the library and downtown Tacoma.
Build your writing skills and meet other cool writers this summer!
